We received a telegram yesterday from our agent advising that the export of Paraffin Wax from Hongkong wALB prohibited. We presume that it would be possible to export under special licence as from other British ports but we wish
to lay before you some particulars of the manner in which our business in Paraffin Wax in the Far East is conducted, and hope that you will authorise us to export wax from Hongkong without the necessity of obtaining licences for each shipment, providing you with information in regard to final destination, buyers' names etc.
We have been for many years past shipping regular quantities of Paraffin Wax to Hongkong for sale in Chine and Formosa. This business is conducted through the medium of
